The first leaf on the bottom of the corn plants turned yellow. The bottom leaves on almost all the plants have subsequently died and fallen off. I don't know if this is normal or not. - Dscn4672f Viewed: 235 times.

This photo was taken on 6/28. The leaves appear to be a pale non-glossy green color. The leaves are supposed to be dark glossy green. As a result of this observation, I purchased a soil test kit. Testing indicated that the nitrogen level of the soil was really low, and the phosphorus level was also low. - Dscn4671f Viewed: 205 times.

Another "pale corn" shot. Since I had already installed a drip irrigation system, I wanted to fertilize through it. I ended up using a Miracle Grow hose end feeder. - Dscn4664f Viewed: 212 times.

Five days after fertilizing, the new growth is much glossier and less pale than the old growth. I am thinking that the leaves should still be darker, though. I will keep adding nitrogen to try to green things up. I don't want to add too much nitrogen at one time though. That could ruin the crop. - Dscn4715f Viewed: 213 times.

I am a little concerned that when the Roundup I sprayed got on my my beans and corn, it damaged them. Fortunately I was only spot weeding and I didn't spray the Roundup directly on the crops. I should probably mention that my corn and beans are special genetically modified so that they are supposed to be Roundup resistant. - Dscn4686f Viewed: 194 times.

Roundup damage appears where the spray contacts the plant. This is interesting because Roundup is not designed to do this, it is designed to work its way through the plant and kill the entire thing. - Dscn4734f Viewed: 193 times.

In the middle of this shot, is a bean plant that had been damaged by contact with Roundup a couple of weeks earlier. The plant recovered, but having lost its leaves, it got way behind in its growth. It will probably not produce much yield due to getting shaded out by its neighbors. - Dscn4688f Viewed: 196 times.
